Learn how to manage users, teams, and workspaces
Exclusive access to granular user permissions and role-based access control (RBAC) on the Trickest platform is provided solely for Enterprise users. If you are interested in learning more about the Enterprise Edition, please contact us.
Trickest uses role-based access control (RBAC) to help you manage user permissions and ensure that each user has access only to the resources they need. You can grant users access to specific workspaces and control what they can do within them, such as read, write, execute, or view solution insights. RBAC also allows administrators to delegate workspace management by assigning Workspace Owners with full control over their respective environments.
Before diving into how permissions are managed, it’s important to understand the key building blocks of the access control model:
- Vault: The top-level organization account. It holds global settings, users, teams, and workspaces.
- Workspace: An isolated environment within a Vault that contains solutions, workflows, runs, and variables related to a specific project or purpose.
- User: An individual with access to a Vault, specific permissions, and optionally one or more workspaces.
- Team: A group of users managed collectively that allows you to assign standardized permissions to multiple users at once.
